The Grange, High Street Puckeridge

In the 1950s Mr Sullivan was running The Grange as a Youth Hostel.  Whilst working on the building he found a bag of foreign money in the rafters.  His son, Michael, thinks his father gave it to the Museum in Hertford .  There was a framed piece of paper on the wall saying that the beams in the house came from ships .  Michael  was  told The Grange was a stage coach stop , one of the places that Dick Turpin used.

Following the closure of the Youth Hostel, The Grange was used by Soya for offices.

When Soya left The Grange was bought  by a builder .

Today the building is used as residential dwellings.
